The survey finds that in 2005, 43 per cent of teens aged 15 to 19 reported having sex at least once, compared to 47 per cent from 1996-1997.
The study finds the decline was due to young women, where the proportion who reported having had intercourse decreased from 53 per cent to 47 per cent.
Less girls are having “intercourse” yet boys are still having just as much. Either some girls are taking up the slack for the drop-outs or “intercourse” doesn’t count girl-girl action while it does count boy-boy action.
