there must be a devil between us: Eliminating junk mail
I protect my e-mail inbox pretty carefully, taking immediate steps to unsubscribe from pretty much anything that isn’t a personal e-mail. A few years ago, I started taking steps to do the same with my physical mailbox. I make a point to unsubscribe from every unwanted catalog and all repeated…
Great resources.
One issue most of these don’t solve is helping people get off lists that they end up on due to buying stuff from an online retailer, buying tickets to a show, and other things where the businesses assumes that you’ll be bffs forevah because ou bought something once. That’s where Junk 86 comes in. One of my hobby projects.
Snap a pic of a piece of junk mail that shows both the sender and recipient’s info, send it to junk@junk86.com and the team as Junk 86 will contact the sender on your behalf to get you off the list.
For now, it’s free. Eventually, I’ll charge for it. But for now I’m working on building up a knowledgebase of how to most efficiently unsubscribe from common print mail marketers, so send stuff in.
If you’re reading this, yes you. Send in stuff.
